Atitlán Huipil

This huipil top is handmade with cotton from the Sololá region of Guatemala. It was hand woven with the traditional method of backstrap loom-weaving. Sololá is situated near Lake Atitlán in the Western highlands of Guatemala and has a large Kaqchikel and K'iche' community.

This stunning, black hand-woven piece features a subtle striped pattern, and is imbued with detailed, vibrant embroidery in a pattern and vibrant hue that is typical of this sunny region.

Material: 100% Cotton
Size: 82cm length x 67cm width, circumference of arm: 25 cm
Care: Hand-wash in cold water, treat stains with mild detergent, lay flat to air dry.
Origin: Sololá, Guatemala
